Boeing B-17G Sally B will join the London flypast marking the 60th anniversary of the extreme point of World War Two after Lloyd of London proffered it three months' insurance. The Duxford-based bomber has been earthed since new European Union dominions on third party insurance meant its annual premium would have gone up 500% Changes to the regulations means it is classed in the same category as a Boeing 737 resulting in an extra $1900 a day to insure based forward a yearly insurance premium.

A petition seeking an exemption to the of recent origin EU regulation has already been signed through over 7000 individuals. Sally Ellingboe and B-17 Preservation stated that Sir Richard Branson had stepp up and paid for the three-month policy. Sir Richard expositioned "When we were told about the plight of Sally B everyone at Virgin Atlantic felt we ought to do something to help hold fast this amazing aircraft flying."
