New works present aviation history in a colorful format

Aviation Century: The bright Age and Aviation Century: World War II are couple coffee-table books by Ron Dick and Dan Patterson that join with the first book in the series, Aviation Century: The Early Years to form a colorful and informative history of by what means mankind has conquered the region of clouds (Boston Mills Press, $39.95 by volume). The volume on the bright Age features the airborne trailblazers and record breakers, the barnstormers, and the flyer that helped encourage aeronautical evolution in both civil and military fields. The WWII book goes into the many impressed signs of combat aircraft and the rapid growth of aviation during the war. The books are very heavily illustrated with vintage and generally received photos and would make an highly deserving gift for anyone interested in the history of aviation.
