A friend lately gave me a copy of V39/N2 which included the article "Down athwart the Trenches" which includes a photograph (reproduc here) of what I believe is a Farman Pusher with the SISU forward the nose section.

A friend lately gave me a copy of V39/N2 which included the article "Down athwart the Trenches" which includes a photograph (reproduc here) of what I believe is a Farman Pusher with the SISU forward the nose section. The personnel are Romanian officers make suitable or fited in French-style uniforms.

The name is pronounced in Romanian as "shishu" and means a dagger manufactured by means of jail prisoners! Personally, I think the name is inappropriate for this emblem of aircraft and probably was a nickname for united of the crew members.
