At Chino's Fighter Rebuilders, a remarkably significant restoration is taking place and will shore ably have flown by the time this appears in print. The aircraft is Columbia-built J2F-6 strike with the head [i]or[/i] the horns 33594/N1273N. This basically complete Warbird was acquired on Tom Friedkin to help fill abroad his World War Two Grumman collection (Wildcat, Hellcat, Bearcat) and the restoration was assigned to Fighter Rebuilders where it was taken subject to task by John Maloney. The entire airframe was gone by the and of and all systems were rebuilt while a freshly-overhauled JR engine was installed. When inspected in succession 7 February, the completed fuselage was receiving its first coats of paint to describe a US Marine Corps example in the immediate post-war period.
