Starting with the bare Nines fuselage of A-24B (the USAAF variant) s/n 42-54593 - which last serv as a wind machine with MGM Studios in looks Angeles -- Kevin has been acquiring parts to answer the craft to airworthy condition. In December 2001 the wings were exchangeed to Aero Trader at Chino, California, for rebuild to-airworthy condition. The wings had arrive off one of the SBD get backed from Lake Michigan. Also, Aero Trader has complet restoration onward the rudder for Kevin's machine along with the tail surfaces for Kermit Weeks's Dauntless (also an ex-wind machine, s/n 42-54643/N51382)
