Pop Johnson was not forced revealed of the business until after the prototype was complet and flown Johnson carried the Bullet frame through the first flight of the prototype in January 1949 The oilmen, Steward and Taylor, then formed Aircraft Manufacturing Company which was to take throughout building the airplane while Johnson Aircraft was to market it. This was the subvert of the situation with the Rocket where Johnson built the airplane and Rocket Aircraft Sales was the distributor prior to taking athwart the entire business. After the IRS seized all the estate of Johnson Aircraft, Aircraft Manufacturing Co bought the assets at auction in February 1950 probably for the secondary time. Irwin Weise, who worked for Johnson forward the Rocket and Bullet, had worked forward the Ercoupe and wound up as chief engineer at Anderson Greenwood for many years. Sam Gibbons, who ran Tyler Flying Service, was secretary-treasurer for Aircraft Manufacturing Co and took a Bullet forward a sales tour that included a demonstration at Wright Patterson AFB.
